Google summer of Code Proposal

The Main idea is to test, explore and help improve the energy systems and power inputs available or that could be implemented for the OLPC XO.

Main Tasks of the project:
Explore alternative power inputs,testing solar and human power inputs (like panels, crank,yoyo Etc), test different types of batteries and give feedback about usability and durability of all this systems in specific countries like mine (Colombia).

Do designs and gather information about Gang chargers out of Car batteries available in specific countries, (in this case South America or similars)

In Base to this studies give results about what energy systems are better and what are more suitable to have in the countries.
Also give tips about how to integrate this systems to the power management of the laptop.

PS:I am an OLPC Tester and i have Two B2.
